Scholarship and funding schemes

CRECOI provides a wide range of scholarships and grants to support Australian cardiovascular research in the three priority areas of cardiac registry, translational research and clinical trials.

PhD Scholarships & Top-ups

The CRECOI supports students by offering a flexible scholarship program. Research can be undertaken at any collaborating Institution. The CRECOI offers PhD and top-up scholarships in an attempt to attract Australia's best young scientists to the field of cardiovascular outcomes improvements research.

Incubator Grants

Incubator Grants facilitate preliminary investigation and enable researchers to reach a point where they are then eligible to apply to external/independent bodies for funding to complete their research.

Clinical Trial Infrastructure Grants

Investigator initiated Clinical trials in cardiovascular disease research, utilising existing and developing clinical registries, are almost non-existent in Australia. For Australia to be a candidate for clinical trials, infrastructure must be in place. Infrastructure support can include assistance with ethics, database and data capture methods, randomisations services and data analyses support.

Research Grants

Research Grants facilitate analysis of cardiovascular registry data at a national level through the provision of access to the SURE secure data access portal.
